POWERSTAT® Variable Transformers

Rugged, and designed for heavy-duty use, POWERSTAT® Variable Transformers provide excellent power regulation with negligible variation in output voltage from no-load to full-load current. They provide a simple, rugged method of controlling electrical voltage, current and power. They take in utility line voltage and provide continuously adjustable output voltage. Available in both manual and motor-driven options, they offer high current ratings, long life, superior overload capacity and exception resistance to contaminants such as fungus and salt spray.


10C Series

The 10C Series are offered in single and three phase manually operated assemblies. The 10C Series units operate from 120V lines 10C Series units are rated at 2.25A for constant current loads. All types are open construction designed for back-of-panel mounting. The tapping arrangement permits an output voltage of 0 to line voltage or 10% above line voltage. All models can be operated at any frequency between 50 and 2000 Hz without reduction in allowable output current.

1156D Series

The 1156D Series are offered in single and three phase assemblies. The 1156D Series types operated from 120V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 50A. The load rating ranges from 50A-450A depending on input voltage. Please refer to the catalog rating charts. The 1156D Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 and 500 Hz. Refer to Figure A in our catalog for the allowable output current at the higher rated frequency. 1156D Series may be bench or back-of-panel mounted. Available in open construction, screened, terminal enclosure and screens or with a NEMA 1 Enclosure. Units are can be operated manually or motor-driven. The 1156D Series assemblies are completely self-contained. They are fully assembled and include all paralleling chokes and connections, input and output terminals for copper wire, bases, shafts, lifting eyes and output fuses.

116C Series

The 116C Series operate from 120V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 10A. Single, manually operated units have both 3-hole and 4-hole mounting arrangements; all others have a 4-hole mounting. The 116C Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Available in open construction, coil & terminal enclosure or with cord-plug/receptacle sets. Except for the cord-plug/receptacle sets the units are available as manual or motor-driven.

117C Series

The 117C Series operate from 120V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 12A. Single, manually operated units have both 3-hole and 4-hole mounting arrangements; all others have a 4-hole mounting. The 117C Series can be operated at any frequency between 60 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Available in open construction, coil & terminal enclosure or with cord-plug/receptacle sets. Except for the cord-plug/receptacle sets the units are available as manual or motor-driven.

1256D Series

The 1256D Series are offered in single and three phase assemblies. The 1256D Series types operated from 240V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 28A. The load rating ranges from 28A-252A depending on input voltage. Please refer to the catalog rating charts. The 1256D Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 and 500 Hz. Refer to Figure A in the catalog for the reduction in allowable output current when operated at higher than rated frequency. The 1256D Series may be bench or back-of-panel mounted. Available in open construction, screened, terminal enclosure and screens or with a NEMA 1 Enclosure. Units are can be operated manually or motor-driven. The load rating ranges from 35A-350A depending on input voltage. Please refer to the catalog rating charts. 1296D Series may be bench or back-of-panel mounted. Available in open construction, screened, terminal enclosure and screens or with a NEMA 1 Enclosure. Units are can be operated manually or motor-driven. 146 Series

Available in open construction or coil & terminal enclosure. Manual or motor-driven.

21 Series

The 21 Series are of open construction and primarily designed for back-of-panel mounting. The rated output for the Type 21 Series is 5A for constant current loads. The 21 Series types operate from 120V lines. The tapping arrangement permits an output voltage range of zero to line voltage or zero to 17% above line voltage. The 21 Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 and 2000 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Manual or motor-driven operated units are available.

216C Series

The 216C Series operate from 240V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 3.5A. Single, manually operated units have both 3-hole and 4-hole mounting arrangements; all others have a 4-hole mounting. The 216C Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Available in open construction, coil & terminal enclosure or with cord-plug/receptacle sets. Except for the cord-plug/receptacle sets the units are available as manual or motor-driven.

217C Series

The 217C Series operate from 240V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 5A. 22 Series

The 22 Series are of open construction and primarily designed for back-of-panel mounting. The rated output for the Type 22 Series is 2.25A for constant current loads. 226 Series

FR6000 Series - Full Range Regulator Controller

The POWESTAT® Full Range Regulator Controller is a solid-state sensing device which monitors and detects any variation in load voltage or current and operates a POWERSTAT® Variable Transformer synchronous drive motor to correct the variation and hold the output constant at a selected value.

L10C | L21C | L116C Series - Portable Source of Variable AC Voltage

The Enclosed L Series are specially designed to minimuze the possiblity of shock hazard. For maximum protection and safety, all models are equipped with a grounded NEMA cord-plug assembly, on-off switch, pilot light, output receptacle and fuse. All models are designed for 120V single phase service. The L Series have slots at the rear that accept wall hanger brackets.

The Q117U Series operates from 120V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 10A. The Q117U Series can be operated at any frequency between 60 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Open construction, manually operated.

Q216U Series

The Q216U Series operates from 240V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 3.5A. The Q216U Series can be operated at any frequency between 50 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Open construction, manually operated.

Q217U Series

The Q217U Series operates from 240V lines. The rated output for constant current loads is 5A. The Q217U Series can be operated at any frequency between 60 to 1500 Hz without reduction in allowable output current. Open construction, manually operated.
