North American nuclear power plants are finding a cost effective and relatively easy way to extend the life of their Nuclear Qualified limit switches. This life extension is accomplished by evaluating the time and temperature that the switch has been active.

For a fraction of the cost of replacement a new gasket and/or o-ring can be replaced as an option to immediate replacement.
