Your Solution to "Phantom" Inventory Loss

by User Not Found | May 01, 2018

Direct support weight measurement technology is required to alleviate phantom loss (drift) in your inventory and financial records. Often, this technology can be found in the form of a load cell. Load cells are a direct vessel to foundation structural member, continuous monitoring and control solution, immune to material characteristics, accuracy and high overload capacity. This type of weight measuring system provides the advantage of turning a silo into a scale. Otherwise, you must literally weigh a silo. which can be difficult, unsafe and impossible in some cases. Load cells are not affected by bulk density and other material characteristics like other bulk measurement systems such as ultrasonic and sonologic measurement devices.

Direct support weight measurement technology like load cells is very beneficial to any industry that requires vessels, such as silos and bins, to store bulk goods. This device proves to be an irreplaceable form of inventory management because it helps alleviate drift in the inventory count. Load cells also alleviate the need for extra support hardware, maintains UBC earthquake and wind loading requirements and requires no preventative maintenance. Thus, making way for greater safety margin. With a typical accuracy of 0.5% on a bulk inventory vessel, how can you afford not to make load cells an integral part of inventory management?
