What can cause a hubodometer to miscount?

If your equipment hits a bump or pothole during travel, the weight inside of the hubodometer can fall out of balance (also referred to as orbit), causing inaccurate counting. Veeder Root hubodometers are designed with counter weights to offset imbalance, helping to ensure accurate tracking. However, there will always be a small variance (+/- 2%) due to tire pressure, tire wear, and external temperatures.
